After plans were revealed for the second stage of major construction work to redevelop the space at St Richard's Hospice, Windsor, we were contacted by Associated Architects to help create a bespoke rooflight design for the project's main social and eating space, The Green, which had ambitions of becoming the "heart of the hospital".
Working with our sister company, ICB (Waterproofing) Ltd, a suitable waterproofing specification was also put together. One of ICB's Approved Waterproofing Contractor's, S&P Roofing, expertly installed the EVALON® VSK single-ply membrane, the best option for a roof requiring so much detailing. EVALON® walkway tiles were also installed to protect the membrane in trafficable areas used for installation and maintenance of ancillary products.
The finished result introduced breath taking light into the dining space below, offering a light and open space for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy together.
