The Durley Environmental Innovation Hub is a ground-breaking concept – an inspiring, new public education destination dedicated to achieving a step-change in reducing waste and eliminating single-use packaging along Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole’s beautiful seafront.
The project also had minimum impact on the surrounding area, taking influence from the local environment and the heritage of the site.
Over 300m² of the alwitra® EVALON® VSK self-adhesive single-ply membrane was used to waterproof the multiple roof areas, supplied by ICB Waterproofing. This was used over all three buildings including the sloped winged roof and all other flat roofs and terraced areas. The project also involved green roof installation, using products from ICB Projects. ICB’s SolaFix bars were also used on the top roof areas for the solar PVC system.
